Uncle John organised for a sign for his T-Van and was pretty pleased with the result. I am having some work done for Fred Beast - but you will have to wait for tomorrow to see the results as the signs are being done tonight.
We drove into Margaret River this morning - to do more jobs. Dad had to have a tyre repaired - after getting a flat yesterday morning. Mum had to go to the Post Office and organise a Stat. Dec. for her insurance in relation to the lost camera (this took ages!). Then we had to do some grocery shopping. The tedious jobs don't go away just because we are on holidays.
We came back to the caravan park and had a light lunch before setting out on the wine and food trail. We started off at the Margaret River Cheese Factory. They had lots of yummy cheeses to taste and we bought some to feast on later (I loved their marinated fetta - yumlicious). Next we went on to Margaret River Nuts and Cereals. Again we tasted lovely nuts, jams and sauces. Mum and I had fun making a big container of muesli out of a range of nuts, fruits and seeds. Then we decided we hadn't had enough to eat, so we had an icecream. They made the icecream by mixing fresh berries with ice-cream and then pouring it into cups - very yummy indeed.
Following this, we went on to the chocolate factory (is this place Nerrida heaven or what!!!!). They had bowls full of chocolate for tasting. I started out tasting just a couple of little pieces - but then decided I should do what everyone else was doing and have whopping great handfulls (diet? what diet?). It was really delicious and we ended up buying some "for later".
Finally, we went on to "The Providore". This lovely outlet had huge vegetable gardens as well as a vineyard. They sold sauces, jams, olive oils, seeds, spices, relishes, home-made pasta and wine. We all tasted everything.... and then I discovered their wine. It was wonderful, so I bought 2 bottles.
After our day out - the pantry is pretty well stocked. Tonight the blokes are cooking a barbie over at the barn, which should be followed up with wine and chocolate. Golly this travelling life is hard!!!!!
